It’s very exciting times to be a blogger this time of year. And so many of us put our heart and soul in what we do, and in my case, keep learning, achieving and inspiring in the world of DIY.
And if I ever hit a stumbling block (which happens quite often), I can always ask a question to my supportive followers for tips and advice on social media. I love how it’s not about getting likes and engagement for the sake of it. It’s absolutely needed to carry on and it’s what keeps me going.
But, one of the hardest things abut being a blogger or YouTuber isn’t about creating good content. It’s about discovery and SEO.
There are some amazing makers out there that haven’t been discovered. And what’s the harm blowing your own trumpet once in a while? Well, one of the ways to do it is to ask for a nomination (from you) if you’d be kind enough to nominate me for a blogging award.
Come on… I am from Yorkshire. Cringe all you like, the saying “you don’t ask if you don’t get” really has its place. But why would I love to win this year? Because I think in the UK PR world, DIY really does get overlooked.
You don’t always have to be a professional to get something done. Yes, gas and electrics. But so many times I’ve assumed I can’t do something until I take a deep breath and work it out on the internet.
Then 52 jobs later (some big, some small), I’ve saved us from spending over £20,000 and I’m much more confident to tackle bigger things. So I would love it if you feel inspired enough to nominate me for a Brilliance in Blogging award this year.
I love how far I’ve come and receiving emails and pics from people to to say I’ve helped them save money and discover muscles they never knew they had. After all, I’m no wonder woman. I’m just giving things a go too.
You can click above to visit the form, but apart from your name, email and number, I’d really appreciate if you filled in section 9 and 12. (I don’t think it’s really necessary to fill in your favourite post links). Here’s how to do it and THANK YOU so much if you do!
