When I first started renovating our home, finding the right screw for the job was very overwhelming. There’s so many types and sizes and being a carpenter’s daughter, I feel more au fait with a hammer and a nail. It’s more satisfying to hit, let’s be honest!
But screws are easier to remove and replace again within reason. And to make sure I’ve got the right size at hand for the many different projects I complete, I bought this really handy screw selection box from Screwfix which I feel compelled to talk about.
It’s a bit pricier than buying individual bags of screws, but it’s been extremely convenient, saving shopping trips and comes in a sturdy recyclable box with a handle. None of the screws have broken on us, either… very important.
If I run out of a particular size, there’s also useful codes for easy reordering, creating less confusion. Bring on the drill and screwdriver!
