You know, I didn’t realise how popular Carpenter’s Daughter would actually be. Well, of course, I knew a girl doing DIY was unique, but this has secretly been a place where I can chill and talk about our DIY, travel and life which is behind the scenes of my Tastefully Vikkie cooking channel.
But when I see how quickly The Carpenter’s Daughter YouTube channel has been doing in comparison (it may not look obvious but the stats say otherwise), I thought it’s about time to redesign my blog here as I wasn’t really happy with it.
It was a free template and you’ll probably know TCD was and still is about renovating and life on a budget as it’s lots of ongoing projects. So there’s plenty of money pots allocated for different things to get a happy medium, whether it’s DIY, travel, wellbeing and anything in between.
I don’t feel like I can discuss these things on Tastefully Vikkie; it’s too niche and DIY would be irrelevant, so I really appreciate of its success so far.
So to give you another update (so I can make sure I’m all caught up) and can move on to current DIY life, I’m sharing the latest two holiday vlogs to give you an insight on how we travel. (We’ve been camping in our partly finished Mercedes Vito camper).
Oh, and another reason for this is, you may have noticed I’ve reorganised all my posts in to drop down menus at the top. Travel looked low as I’d only shared it on YouTube. Naughty me. Anyway, this is where I’m changing that.
So, here’s two videos where we set off to wild camp in Scotland on Boxing Day (below) for New Year and my birthday. And then Wales and Bournemouth (below that) for my fiance’s birthday.
Anyway, don’t forget to subscribe for more and you’ll get notified when things are in full swing.
