Changing A Door Mortice Sash Lock

Shortly after laying the patio in front of my garage door, I noticed the lock then became stiff and bent.

Why?  Well I must've knocked it while working out which way the other door went.  It's a long story, but if you have time, then feel free to watch my patio video here.

So, I struggled to lock the door and for security reasons, I needed to learn how to sort it out asap.  Here's how I did it for £5.98 from Toolstation.  This is the lock I used.

You know, I admire your blog, and you. Because DIY has always been considered "the man thing" especially in my house. I consider myself to be pretty alright when it comes to DIY. I do a lot of the painting and decorating, hanging photos, fixing locks, etc but I'm never asked to do it, it was always "can you ask Rog, ask your dad, ask Iain" Errrr.... how about no! I love puzzles, so building new items of furniture, is an absolute dream for me! Forget the instructions too! Who needs them? By the time a lot of my friends and even my partner have read the instructions, I'm usually half way through the actual building!

I love your blog, Thank you!
